It can be done without admissions
If you are going to study these programmes, you will only need to graduate successfully.
We select students for these on the basis of their high school grades and especially their maths results. It will help you a lot if you have also done an extra activity such as a mathematics, physics or programming Olympiad or a student vocational competition.
We know how to get electricity from the sun, wind or water to the socket and how to use it to charge your mobile phone. If you’re fascinated by the fact that a lemon can light up a light bulb, you’re one of us.

Sentence logic
Basic logical operations and rules. For example, conjunction, disjunction, implication. If, or, and so on.
Sets and operations on sets
Numerical sets such as natural, integer or rational numbers. Round and compound brackets, intersections, differences and unions.
Combinatorics
Permutations, variations, combinations. Probabilities, factorials or that useful Pascal’s triangle.
Modifications of algebraic expressions
Counting with letters and brackets. Prioritising arithmetic operations such as addition and multiplication, expressions with parentheses, modifying fractions, simplifying algebraic expressions.
Elementary functions
Linear, quadratic, polynomial function. Linear fractional function. Power, exponential and logarithmic functions. Goniometric functions and relationships between them.
Equations and inequalities
Linear, quadratic, goniometric, exponential and logarithmic. Linear fractional expressions in equations and inequalities. Equations and inequalities with absolute value.
Sequences

We’ll forgive you for the entrance exams*
*Ifyou are applying to the Applied Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Robotics and Cybernetics programs and you meet one of the requirements:
- you have a percentile of at least 70 in the external part of the mathematics matriculation exam.
- you have at least 50 points for participation in high school competitions.
*Ifyou are applying to the Electronic Systems and Chip Design program and you meet one of the requirements:
- you are a successful solver of a subject Olympiad in mathematics, physics or informatics organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Slovak Republic, the Union of Slovak Mathematicians and Physicists, or the Slovak Informatics Society in categories A, B or C at least at the level of the regional round.
- you are a successful solver in the Zenit competition in categories A or B, at least at the level of the regional round.
- you have a SCIO math test with a percentile of at least 70. A certified copy of the certificate of passing the SCIO test is required.
- you have a grade point average less than or equal to 1.25 at the end of 2. and 3rd year (in schools with 5-year studies at the end of 3. and 4th year; at eight-year grammar schools at the end of 6. and 7th grade) of secondary school.
