I am duly proud of my degree from FEI STU. Everywhere I’ve been throughout my long career, the engineer title has significantly helped me and enabled me to work my way up to where I am now. I still see it the same way today – a person with a diploma from FEI always has an open door with me. Being an electrical engineering graduate is truly worth it.
Thanks to FEI, I got to where I am today. A major added value is the hands-on experience with technology, analytical thinking, and managerial mindset. We founded the company ITAPS during our studies with four classmates. Today, there are 100 of us, and the company is worth multiple millions. Without my university, I wouldn’t have made it to Forbes 30 Under 30.
Studying at FEI taught me to understand technology from hardware to software. Thanks to that, I was able to found Sensoneo – the fastest-growing company in Slovakia, which I plan to sell in the future for a billion euros. And I started from the very bottom – I came from vocational school with just 3 euros of pocket money per week.
I can confidently say that there wasn’t a single subject at FEI that didn’t help me in my professional life. Of course, I don’t calculate triple integrals at home, but the way of thinking—that’s something I use every single day. Thinking critically, thinking like an engineer and a scientist, having a systematic approach to work, and working in a team. I wouldn’t change a thing.
I went to FEI after vocational school, and it felt like a natural next step. My practical knowledge helped me a lot during my studies. Today, I work as a Sales Director in a top tech company, and I’m very grateful to FEI for teaching me discipline, the ability to learn on the fly, and how to work in a team. Organizing the Freshers’ Party during my studies also helped me a lot.
FEI STU provided me with valuable skills and perspective that have helped me in life. The knowledge and analytical abilities I gained at FEI give me an advantage in problem-solving and communication across all areas of my professional life. Moreover, I met great friends and professors here who inspired and supported me. FEI prepared me for the challenges of the world and showed me that education isn’t just about books, but also about the people who inspire and support you on your journey forward.
Studying at FEI was enriching for me in many ways. Thanks to it, I met talented people and classmates with whom I founded a software company that has now been running for 30 years. Mlynská dolina is a great place for building lifelong friendships.
Studying Robotics and Cybernetics at FEI STU helped me grow both technically and managerially. The faculty’s cooperation with MATADOR Group opened the door for me to the world of industrial automation and working on major projects in European car manufacturers.
At FEI, I had the opportunity to meet top experts in the field of power engineering and work with them on interesting projects, which contributed to my path of becoming a designer and later a co-founder of a successful company. We still collaborate with FEI faculty today, striving to connect theory with practice as effectively as possible.
